WHAT'S in a name?

Something Blue Catering and Cocktails gets its name from the blue agave plant, the main ingredient in the best tequila in the world. Our catered events are just like premium tequila; fun, flavorful, and unique. Although we can curate an amazing  Mexican menu, we love to branch out into all types of cuisine. Whether you are looking for a Mediterranean, American, or globally inspired menu, we have the skills and knowledge to create a menu that will blow you away.

We love working with local farms across Connecticut to source the freshest, fruits, vegetables, and herbs whenever possible. Nothing can compare to the flavors of in-season produce. By using the freshest flavors possible we create a memorable catering experience that your guests will crave long after the event has ended.

Mexican Flare

You can't be sad with a margarita in hand! Bring something different to your next birthday party, baby shower, wedding, or event with authentic Mexican fare such as tacos, tlayudas, and elote. We say no to sour mix and fresh squeeze orange, lemon, and lime juice for all of our events. Guaranteeing that you and your guests will enjoy  freshest margaritas and cocktails that you've ever had.

Lauren- Lead Mixologist, Dietitian, and Event coordinator

Lauren is a Registered Dietitian and chef. She achieved her BS in Culinary Nutrition at Johnson & Wales University and completed her dietetic internship with Tulane University. She earned the nickname "little Ina Garten" from her sister and friends because she has always had a passion for curating the perfect event. As a dietitian, she has extensive knowledge of dietary requirements for those who follow special diets such as vegetarian and vegan, gluten-free, food allergies, and more. She can work with you to create a menu that will satisfy and delight all of your guests.

Antonio- Executive Chef

Antonio has cooked in just about every style of the restaurant including quick-service diners, casual Italian, and fine dining steakhouses across Connecticut. He is passionate about  Mexican cuisine and recreating the flavors of his childhood in new and exciting ways.
